17 May The day we hosted #irishbeerchat
The time we sat down to host #irishbeerchat
Every week a bunch of craft beer and cider bloggers, beer lovers, other craft beer/cider brands and lots of people in between take part in #irishbeerchat – a weekly ‘Twitter chat’ hosted by our friends at Wicklow Wolf along with bloggers (and also friends) Irish Beer Snob and Simon Says Beer. Recently they’ve been having guest hosts on these chats, so when the opportunity arose for us to host, we jumped at the chance. Here’s how it went…
@son0vagun@WWolfBrewery@simonsaysbeer@irishbeersnob If only I knew! We’re just trying our best year on year #irishbeerchat

@BeoirFinder @WWolfBrewery @simonsaysbeer @irishbeersnob We have different varieties for different uses, but my personal favourite is dabinette which is the base of our regular cider #irishbeerchat

@BeoirFinder @WWolfBrewery @simonsaysbeer @irishbeersnob We think there’s a limited market for the really dry ciders & some form of back sweetening makes the cider more palatable #irishbeerchat

@craftbeersoflre Our quickest cider was harvested last Aug & bottled in Nov,but normally our ciders are aged for 1 year before they’re bottled #irishbeerchat

@thebeernut I do, but I think it’s small. We tried one with a very low carbonation & people enjoyed it #irishbeerchat

@irishbeersnob It’s primarily a domestic market but we have exported small amounts to other countries #irishbeerchat

@finnegan339 It’s a long story, Mark, but we’ve always wanted to try a barrel-aged cider & when the opportunity arose we went for it #irishbeerchat
